Hi I posted this an hour ago but it didn't appear. This is my first post to this group >>>

Hi Windows 7 is driving me crazy. I lost all my desktop icons. A search for a cure brought me to your group.
I tried to upgrade to the latest IE. When I launched it I got a white content area but if I moved my mouse over it the cursor changed to a pointer so the content was there but invisible. Tried to uninstall IE but could not. Tried to install the original IE but couldn’t because I had a later version.

Tried to re-install SP1. This took ages and now it says Windows Evaluation copy. Build 760.

    ]Windows Evaluation Copy Issue:
    • It seems like the installation of Service Pack 1 (SP1) triggered the "Windows Evaluation Copy" message.
    • To resolve this, you may need to reactivate your Windows license:
      • Go to Control Panel > System and Security > System.
      • Look for "Windows activation" section and click on "Activate Windows" if it's available. After performing these steps, your Windows 7 system should hopefully be back to normal. If you encounter any more issues or need further assistance, feel free to ask!
