Windows 7 Windows 7 is not installing

Hello! Unfortunately, my Windows 7 upgrade kit doesn't seem to be working. I purchased a Samsung R720 a year ago (came with Vista), and got the upgrade kit sometime early 2010 - unfortunately, I didn't get round to upgrading till now.

The upgrade gets to stage 2 of 8 ('Scanning system'), when after about 5 to 10 mins of being on stage 2, 'Samsung easy upgrade has stopped working' comes up.

Any idea how to overcome this issue? I'm sure there are no programmes on. I disconnect the internet, turn off my Kaspersky firewall and malware protection, and turn off the automatic upgrades thing.

It looks a software program that is not compatible with windows 7. First try to update it to a compatible version for windows 7 and retry upgrade. If it's a no go....then uninstall the software and retry upgrade. Also, have you run the MS windows 7 upgrade advisor? This will help you with hardware/software compatibilities issues that need to be resolved before the upgrade can take place. Saves a lot of time and headaches.
