You can try a couple things;
Maybe:
1. Open control panel->programs and features->turn windows features on and off, scroll down to media features, deselect all, click ok, reboot...then do the same in reverse and reboot see if that helps.
2. Open all programs->accessories->right click on command prompt and choose run as administrator, type sfc /scannow and see if that helps.
3. Boot from the Windows 7 DVD and try using some of the repair options that are built in
4. Failing all else, google repair install Windows 7, there are several guides and tutorials available just make sure to backup, backup, backup.
