📎 AI Summary:
Frank initially struggled to see his new SSD in Windows Explorer despite it appearing in Disk Management and Diskpart. GDany advised partitioning, formatting, and assigning a drive letter, but Frank had difficulty with Windows' built-in tools. Ultimately, he used EaseUS Partition Master to partition the drive successfully, resolving the issue.

Hi,
I've just bought a 2 TB WD Blue Solid State Drive for my Acer Windows 10 Pro 64-bit desktop PC. It shows up in disk management but not in windows explorer. Also, when I go to dotprompt/ diskpart/list volume it doesn't show up. All the advice seems to be about getting it to show up in disk management but that dosen't seem to help. I need it to show up in windows explorer. Can anyone help me with this. Thank you in advance.

You first need to make a partition on it, format it and assign it a letter. Then it will show on win explorer.

I wasn't able to do that with window disc management so I downloaded EaseUS partitician Master that enabled me to address the drive and partician it so it would show in windows explorer. Problem resolved.
