📎 AI Summary:
The thread discusses whether a Windows XP user with modest hardware specs (including an AMD Athlon 64 X2 processor and integrated NVIDIA graphics) can smoothly upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit. The original poster is particularly concerned about running Aero UI and asks if their current setup, possibly with future RAM upgrades, will support it. Respondents suggest that Windows 7 should run fine overall, but are uncertain about Aero support due to the integrated graphics, with one mentioning the specific hardware requirements for Aero and acknowledging limited information. The overall sentiment leans towards cautious optimism but with uncertainty regarding Aero compatibility.

It should run fine. The graphics aren't the greatest, but I ran the rc on less ram and processor and didn't have a problem.

I did a google search and I couldn't find anything for sure.

Minimum Hardware Requirements for running Windows 7 Aero:
# 1 GHz 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
# 1 GB of ram
# 128 MB graphics card

Aero also requires a DirectX 9 class graphics processor that supports a Windows Display Driver Model Driver, Pixel Shader 2.0 in hardware, and 32 bits per pixel

Hopefully someone knows better than me.
