Windows 7 Windows Firewall Blocking Windows Update

Is there a way to stop Windows Firewall from blocking Windows Update from checking for/downloading updates? I can download updates perfectly fine when I deactivate the firewall, but with it on it fails.

I'm having the same issue except even if I turn off the firewall I still can't update windows.
