After several days of Windows Update not being successful in installing this cumulative update for Windows 10, today, it no longer shows this update. I think Microsoft fixed this entire issue. Here's what I saw:

8/19/2015 :
1st attempt - download and install KB3081438 - failed error 0x80073712
2nd attempt - KB3081438 disappeared and KB3081440 and KB3081444 appeared and both installed successfully.

Rebooted and ran Windows Update again and it says everything is up to date.

System seems to be running OK now.
