I upgraded from 8.1 to 10. How do I load my photos into a file? After I click on "Camera" I get the message "something went wrong. Make sure your camera is connected and not being used by another app".
I have not been able to load my cd's onto windows media player in windows 10. There is no "rip" feature. I also tried downloading music from me smartphone, and that does not work either. It seems like I have to buy an app in order to load cd's that I've already paid for. If this is true...
I tend to use "app" to refer to the metro apps and "program" to refer to things like excel or Word. But in W10 menus, "app" seems to refer to both which I find confusing. Why the blurring of the distinction?
Thanks.
Take a look at how Windows 10 brings a single platform experience to many different devices and how Windows tooling and .NET Native provide developers with a great opportunity to create amazing apps.

Good day, community!
One day I tried Groove to find my music and assigned it to search on :C, which gave me over 7k titles. So when I tried to change where it should search again, nothing happened, after which I decided to restart the pc to see if anything has changed. It has indeed. After the...

I hate the light theme in 10. My apps look anaemic !
In previous versions of Windows various elements of app windows could be changed. e.g change the colour of the active window title bar.
Is there any way to do this in 10 ?

Has anyone else experienced this? I was unable to update from Windows 8.1 Pro to Windows 10 Pro via Windows update as the download/ install kept failing. I then downloaded the 64-bit Win 10 installer from the MS website and ran it.
Everything went fine until I was presented with three options...
Good Afternoon: I am suddenly faced with modern UI apps that, when clicked, start for a few seconds then disappear. At the same time, I am unable to view notifications or the calendar from the clock in the task bar. When I click on them, I see the blue circle blink on then disappear, but nothing...

If you are not seeing all of your apps that can use the Lock Screen status area then this PowerShell command will address that and make the full range of apps available as options for the Lock Screen status area.

I'm running a non-touch laptop and have no use for MetroUI apps whatsoever. How would one go about globally uninstalling ALL of the Metro apps in Windows 10 so that they're gone forever?
I am sorry if I have previously used the wrong place to put my question.
Most times after I have had the computer switched on and after 30 minutes approx. I click on a app and it just "hangs" with the blue circle going around and around and after a couple of minutes stops. You can click on the...
I am quite happy with windows 10 except for one thing. When I click on the little windows start menu icon the cursor just goes round and round and the start menu doesn't open up. When I right click on it I get the normal desktop list. Is there something I need to change to be able to get the...
Hello, Windows Forum!
Having a bit of an issue with 10 that maybe somebody else has solved. I opened my start menu and started removing the pre-installed apps to personalize it, like I'd done with 8, and came across the Cortana button. I clicked it out of curiosity and after a while it...

The countdown to our Windows 10 launch continues. Today, we’re talking about multi-doing on Windows 10. Our lives are busier than ever requiring us to juggle more tasks, both big and small. Wouldn’t it be great if our devices could help make accomplishing our tasks simpler? With features like...
Why does Microsoft always make their Apps a little harder to use and a little less useful?
At least it always seems that way to me.
I was just setting up edge to give it a try, and it's always just a little harder to do things than in Chrome.
