Since I've taken up gaming I've been paying particular attention to CPU core percentages and fan speed. I have a Rainmeter Widget that shows bar graphs for the individual cores. I've seen it peg all four cores at 100% for almost 10 minutes during game installation. The fans never came on. I used...

A while back, the HDD stopped working for a couple days. It just stopped...
I was a very bad boy and did something terribly wrong. I accidentally disabled the USB ports from BIOS on my Win10 tablet.
This disabled the detachable keyboard (and Bluetooth), and while I CAN get back into BIOS, I can't change anything once I'm there (AMI bios. Touchscreen not...

But the installation fails on Win 10.

- Reinstalled windows
- Tested RAM using MemTest86 8 passes (4 passes when overclocked to 3200mhz and 4 passes when not overclocked at 2133) with 0...

Hi,
Have an Asus P8Z77-V PRO/THUNDERBOLT.
I created another ntfs partition on my ssd C: drive. It is is to install Linux Lubuntu.
My idea for a 2nd OS is purely for rescue purposes so i can access internet from lubuntu and try to fix windows or reinstall it without having a dedicated usb with...
Not sure whats going on but for some dumb reason windows 10 is not recognizing my
3TB Hitachi UltraStar 7K3000 as a HDD
it insists its a SSD.
My 850 evo has to go back to samsung so they told me to clone the c: onto D: then change boot order.
Perfect sense, same as always so I do so and now not...

My friend has an 8-year old Dell Studio One all-in-one desktop computer that appears to have a bad hard drive. My friend doesn't have a recovery USB nor DVD. Question is, if we get a new hard drive, is there a way we can install and activate Windows Vista legally, without buying Windows...

My guess is hardware, but what I notice is that the machine will stutter -> hang -> then totally crash. The system is still "on" but I must do a hard-power-off in order to turn it on again.
Sometimes after crashing it will hang and crash during the whole POST/BIOS startup section as well...
Hey, guys.
I am currently dealing with the annoyance of my PC booting into bios whenever I try to start it up. After I exit the bios, it then boots into windows but this is causing my PC to slow down tremendously because I have an SSD cache. The cache gets wiped every single time this happens...
