Hello,
This is my first post here. Maybe this is a silly question but I couldn't figure out to solve it by myself.
Until some time ago I had two HDs on my system, being Windows XP at a SATA and Windows 7 at an old IDE. Recently I upgraded my motherboard to a new model that doesn't support IDE...
On xp media centre edition, tried factory restore from F10 boot menu but there's no .net framework files, will i have to download these individually? Or can i retrieve them somehow?
Also after the factory restore, all the files, data and shortucts from games and programs i had previously are...
Ok, so I brought my Toshiba laptop over to a friends house last night. We did some gaming, and everything was fine and acting normal. This morning, I packed up and when I got home, started up my laptop. A black screen with a window popped up with boot menu and app menu on it. Under the Boot...
Hi, I hope someone can help me.
I required a second copy of win7 for testing purposes. I created a bootable virtual hard drive with win7 installed on it. However when I restart my pc, there is no boot manager present. I always have to press F11 to enter into the boot menu and then choose the...

Hi
My wife has a new Asus X750j Laptop.
I've spent the last day and a half setting it up.
Now I want to make a system image of the C:\ drive using Paragon.
I do this from a bootable DVD, but it isn't set to boot to the DVD first in the boot order.
I've looked and looked and I can't find a way...
Hello!
Got problems with Start up.
I decided to copy all DLL files from RecoveryCD System32 to the %windir%\System32 in hope it will help to start it. Now it does'nt matter what I chose in the Boot Menu ... it always boots a Start-up Recovery like if it was from a Recovery Boot CD. I tried to...
My motherboard (ASRock 890 FX Deluxe 4) only has space for 4 hard drives in the boot priority section, which also controls how many drives are listed in the BBS Popup Menu. At the moment, that is adequate, because one of my 5 internal drives is nothing more than storage for backup images, and...
I have a "main" partition which contains my main "Win 7" system.
Occasionally I want to boot a second Win 7 from another primary partition.
When I hit at boot time <F4> I get into the Win BootManager menu.
But unfortuantely there is only my main Win7 listted.
The other Win7 is NOT listed...
A few weeks ago I tried out an Ubuntu installation, just to see if it met my requirements.
I have all I need on Win7 but being the adventurous type and already having tried and dismissed Win8 I thought I'd try Ubuntu.
My machine has 4 hard drives and one of them had shown up as not available and...

I started getting a...

Hi
I have made my Windows 8.1 DVD, but I haven't committed to installing it yet.
I'd like to just install it on a separate partition on my second hard drive.
Normally I wouldn't hesitate to just go ahead and install it, but I'm not sure if the new Uefi bios will just except it and...

I'm having trouble with my very new computer (Lenovo Y480 with Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit), which I've narrowed down to the following sequence:
1. I restored computer to original factory settings (to rule out possible causes)
2. I ran msconfig, and checked the boxes 'Safe Mode' and...
Hello everyone;
Some of you may have heard about or even used or are using
iReboot by Neosmart Technologies, makers of EasyBCD.
The icon sits in the Tray Notification area and if right clicked, will show all your OS's,
and all you have to do is select (click on) which OS you wish to reboot...
Just a little tidbit I thought I'd throw in here.
When dual/multi booting with previous versions of Windows, you have your basic black screen w/white text and when choosing your OS to boot to, you have to use the up/down arrows and hit enter.
With the visually nice boot menu screen of Windows...
I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium, 64 bit, on a Gateway, motherboard is EG43M. It is a dual-core Pentium, CPU E5300 @ 2.60GHz.
