Windows 7 How to Fix Window's Media Player

Hello all, I'm trying to load about 30 CD's on my WMP but every time I open WMP and then put a CD into the disk drive, I automatically get an error notice that WMP won't be able too rip some of the files and then I can't get any further. Any suggestions anyone? Thanks :)

    Windows 7 windows media player

I can only burn about 73-74 minutes to a 80 min.cdr. Anything over that bumps it to cd no.2. Shouldn't I be able to burn up to 80 min. Occasionally I can burn up to 79 min and over, but after the disc finishes burning it won't play and it's listed as an unknown disc

How to find doubles of my MP3 files?

I have a BUNCH of mp3 files from ripping my CD collection. But many songs were on multiple CDs. Is there something out there that will help me find duplicates? I'm thinking that if I could get a playlist of these duplicates, I'd just play the entire playlist to see if they are the same (there...

Windows 7 First track of ripped CDs (in .WAV format) does not display track info (in Windows Explorer)

I ripped my personal CD collection to .WAV as I have the space and thought it was best quality. I used WMP. Everything ripped fine... for a while, the first song of each album kept 'losing' its track information. I would use the Find Album Info feature of WMP to fix this. Track info...

    Windows 7 DVD/RW Drive Missing.

Yesterday, I made the mistake of letting my sister-in-law use my computer (the one I use for work) to burn a CD. I thought she said burn a DVD, which is something I do all the time. However, apparently she downloaded a CD ripping program called CDEX (very legitimate -- doubtful of any...

    Windows 7 Audio CD ripping?

I am with a problem, still have 200-300 cds to rip and encode into mp3/mpc. Untill Windows 7, I had been using Exact Audio Copy with Lame (--alt preset -standard), but EAC does not work in Windows 7. Windows 7 freezes in a couple of seconds after a rip has been initiated - have tried with the...

Windows 7 Windows Media Player in Windows 7 quirks!

I noticed an annoying quirk in the WMP that came with Windows 7. It does not recognize or store all of my music files, including the CD files that I ripped. When I revert back to my Windows Vista partition, ALL of the music files are there and intact! What the blank is going on? NExt, in...
