Some special icons (like user folder on desktop) can't be changed, apparently, because no "properties" menu item appear in right-click context menu.
Is there some way or tool to achieve this?
I've searched for this but can't find an answer. What I'm trying to do is remove "Create Shortcut" from the context (right click) menu of Explorer. Sometimes when I want to delete a file I hit this by mistake and then have to delete the file and the shortcut.

My OS is 32bit Win7 Pro.
In Windows Explorer, when you right click a file, a drop down menu opens showing options to choose.
I'd like to add another option on that menu.
How do you do that?
(It was easy in WinXP.)
Please let me know if this request is more appropriate in another forum.
Thanks.
