I'm currently in the process of getting parts for a new computer build.
So far I have a Asus Maximus VIII Hero mobo and a Samsung 850 EVO 500GB. M/2 ssd for it. I'm also going to be re-using the Seagate Barracuda 3.0TB h.d , Intel 530 Series 400GB ssd (for Games), Lite On DVD-RW, Lite ON Blu-ray...

I am planning to buy a new computer with a LGA 1151 and Skylake processor.
Is Win7 running on such systems?
In other words: Are there Win 7 drivers available für the new Skylake chipsets?

I wanted to know what I could do about the terrible CPU and GPU on my ideapad. I swapped the SSHD with a crucial SSD 500gb SSD. But the CPU/GPU I can't seem to find but I hear they are soldered in. What can I do to make these better
I have installed Windows 10 two weeks ago. And there were many things to work on, many stuff to learn. I have recently noticed that my PC is turning off a bit slower than usual. Today I discovered this Antimalware Service Excutable using 70MB of memory. I had the same problem with System...

When reading some config recommendations always two different hardware features are mentioned:
AHCI and ACPI
What is the difference?
Both seem to be power-saving-related.
Is one for hard disks and the other for CPU only?
Is one in BIOS-only configurable the other from WinOS configurable?
Peter
