downloading

It seems that my Windows take a while to load. Than I cannot use the websites for a while. At times the windows disappear and I am left with a desk top. And many times I get a white window when I am downlaoding a page Now I go back, I get two pages back instead of one. Whats the deal? teak.

while downloading a pic, i accidentally maximized the file-destination window. now it's stuck at full-screen every time i go to download something. it won't let me resize it and there's no maximize/half-screen-whatever button on the top right corner. ideas?

I'm trying to download multiple files, not from those download sites but these are files full of wallpapers. I've tried the usual 'download accelerators' but they don't work for one reason or another. Is there a download accelerator/plug-in/add-on, etc. that works in Windows 7? Thanks.
