I got stuck with that nasty, nasty little program Windows Messenger and a bunch of other CRAP That I did not want when I downloaded Live Mail. It turns out that if you go to control panel, uninstall programs, click live essentials, uninstall/modify, you are then given a list of components to...
I have a Compaq C712NR Laptop that is using a Broadcom 802.11g Wireless Adapter. The laptop came with Windows Vista pre-installed, and I've never had any issues with it previously. I recently upgraded to Windows 7 and I can no longer get internet access. Here is my best description of the...
I have set WLM to check mail every 5 minutes, but if I want to check it now, I don't know how. I used to be able to do this in OE. Can I still do this?
Thanks.
Hello all. I'd like to know if there is an an email application that replaced Outlook Express in Windows 7 and if so, is there a way to transfer or copy our contacts list, inbox, drafts, junk mail, etc... to this application.
We currently are running Windows XP Pro 32 bit. I have no idea...
I just went through the export from Windows XP using the Windows 7 easy transfer program. After scanning the XP system it displays the components and allows you to accept or decline the transfer. I don't see email anywhere on the lists. Email is the primary thing I want to transfer. I use...
In Outlook Express and its Vista successor, Windows Mail, one could click Send All, Receive All, or Send and Receive All. In Windows Live Mail it seems that Sync takes the place of Send and Receive All and that there is no longer separate Send All and Receive All. Is this correct?

Currently running Win XP using Outlook Express, will install Windows 7 on new partition, how do I move all my personal folders from OE to Windows Live mail ??
I've been having some problems adding photos to Live Mail. Personally, I like the photo email option, but I've been asked to send pictures by attaching them to the email.
In Outlook Express, one way to do this was to open an Explorer window with the photos i want to send, select them and right...
Currently running dual boot Win 7 with XP, when full release comes out, will do clean install over Win 7 RC.
Use Outlook Express on XP, have managed to get email access in Windows Live to my email account, how do I transfer contacts and folders from Outlook Express into Windows Live Mail in Win 7 ?
I realize that its gone (Outlook X) but why? It seemed like a great email client that worked well. I don't really like outlook itself and have been using gmail which is ok but the same. Is there another mail app that M/S suggests besides outlook?
Thnks
As you know, Windows 7 comes without Outlook Express. I've been using Windows Live Mail but quite frankly I think it's shit. I've got it set to auto add people to the address book when I reply to them, but it doesn't do it. There are other problems but that one annoys me the most.
I tried...
I have just installed W7 RC and have encountered the following problem with (or feature of) Windows Live Mail. Sorry for the long post that I need to explain this.

I just installed Build 7100 and find that Outlook Express is not listed in the All Programs entry from the Start Menu. There are instructions for setting it up, but they start out by having me click on the non-existent "Outlook Express" entry. Anyone know where it might be hiding?
I use Windows mail with Vista and AVG Internet Security to handle email protection and junk mail filtering, is Windows Live Mail better than Windows Mail? I also have a few XP machines that still use Outlook Express, I assume Windows Live Mail is a major step up and a nice replacement to OL...
