I can't google this, as it just sees the word shortcuts twice and doesn't understand.
When you create a shortcut icon, then go to properties, you can make a keyboard shortcut to run the shortcut. What keys are valid? I've tried all sorts, but it just doesn't run it.
so this has been an ongoing(like years) issue. though NOT a big deal

Hello Again,
On occasion, when I double click on a desktop icon it comes up with the Properties window.
Can I fix it without a reboot?
Could it be the utility 'Save Desktop' which causes this. That utility repairs a desktop whose icons become scrambled.

Hi guys,
Yesterday I installed Windows 10 Pro and after sometime I noticed that when I right-click on the taskbar I don't have "Properties" option which normally should be.
Could you please help me to sort it out.
Thank you.
When I start MS build-in Event Viewer, then go to Custom Views--->Adminstrative Events and right click and select "Properties" then all the parameters are disabled resp. read-only.
See attached snapshot
Why?
As far as I remember they were editable in the past. I could (de-)select e.g...

Hi
This is a weird one, I'm pretty sure it wasn't doing in the morning.
If I right click on the root of any drive it minimizes Windows Explorer.
It doesn't crash, just minimizes to the task bar.
That stops me from looking at properties etc.
I can right click on any other folder or file just...
