I have 2 hard drives both 500 gigs. One currently has Win Vista 32 Ulti, the second Win 7 64 bit. I do not use the Vista because it is so slow. How do I set up a raid 1 to mirror my Win 7 64 HD and erase the Vista 32? Or will doing this erase both drives and start from new? Or do I have to...

I have 2 W7 PC's; the good one and the bad one!
Let me say at the outset that on both my bios & all my drivers are up to date! I have yet to establish a cause but the bad W7 crashes around start up 3 times per week on average. I suspect that 1 of the two 500Gb RAID discs is the culprit and...
Hi all
I have installed recently Windows 7 Ultimate and I am experiencing problems finding audio drivers for my motherboard. I have a gigabyte GA-8I915G Duo motherboard which has an on board sound card 7.1. channels. I can't find either drivers for the onboard raid controller.

bought a startech pcisataar1, and the bios will not deploy on the screen. I have hit f4 so many times, at so many points prior to bios "boot up". Support at startech is excellent, but they only says supports win 7--not specific on 64 bit. Literature in startech says only 32-bit.

Hi,

I have...

Trying to install Windows 7 with an Areca 1210 controller. I have XP Pro currently, never an issue getting it to install other than needing to load the Areca driver.
Windows 7 installer does not see my raid array, so when I try to "load driver" (the Areca Windows 7 driver), it does not find...
So I sucessfully recreated my raid as a 250 mirrored instead of 500 striped.
windows now seems more stable without the freeze up mem 3 issue
prior to the change, I used the win7 maintenence backup utility and made a repair disc, did an image, and backup to my 750gig sata drive
now this...
