I got the previews and was doing fine until I got a preview which broke my sound so I naturally rolled back, however when I did, my start menu was empty and I can't add anything
I tried changing the settings and can bring back the stuff like recent apps but I can't bring back options that...
I have the same WiFi issue as many (installing Windows 10 no longer allows me to connect wirelessly). I can connect with an Ethernet cable. I have tried all of the "fixes" I've seen but nothing has worked. The worse news is that now I can't rollback to Windows 7 Pro because some files have...

Hello. Yesterday I upgraded my Windows 7 (x64) to Windows 10; all seemed to work great when I noticed that games that I have installed couldn't running. If I try to start a game (in this case, I tried with StarCraft II and Heroes of Storm), I get a crash error that returns me to the desktop, the...

I have a problem in that Windows 10 is not working for me, and I am trying to roll back to Windows 7. One of the difficulties is a non functioning Start Menu. So how to I get to Settings and then Update and Security etc to begin the roll back process to Windows 7?

Guys, this is ridiculous. I'm 100% positive this is NOT a hardware issue but at this point, it almost seems like getting a new computer entirely would fix this retarded issue.
Before I explain my history on this, I'll post my system.
Intel Core i5 4690k @3.50Ghz
Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2x8GB)...
I had a pci express card with a via vt6315 chip working fine in win 8.1 with my focusrite saffire pro external soundcard.
now the soundcard wont function anyone else got any thoughts on how i might deal with this. going back to win 8.1 is not an option as the rollback is greyed out.

Hi All,
Have just rolled back Win 10 to 8.1 I do not like Edge at the moment but I found IE but couldn't' do anything with it because I was continually getting alerts about cookies. Any easy answer to this/
Thanks from a Senior
Looks like we won't get a free license.
We're either condemned to live as Insiders, with everthing that that means.
Or rollback.
???
So what do people think?
Hi,
Three weeks ago I started my PC as normal and got a black screen after I logged in. A program update box suddenly appeared so clearly nothing wrong with the graphics or screen, just Windows not working. After a lot of messing around (yeah, thanks for hiding 'safe mode', Microsoft) and...

Just a quick one. When 10 finaly becomes available are we going to be able to install on top of the TP or are we going to be required go back to win 8/7 then update from there again?
The reason I ask is I have just broke my win 8 disc and would need to download the iso again just in case I need...
When I boot my PC, on occasion, it will freeze, requiring me to completely restart my computer. Because of that, I would like to rollback back to windows 8.1.
However there is a problem. The windows rollback menu does not show up when i boot up my computer.
Any ideas?
I have a laptop running Windows 8.1
I downloaded the Windows 10 technical preview ISO file from the Microsoft website and successfully installed it
When I restarted the PC, there were 2 options-One was Windows 10 technical preview and other was the roll back to previous version
I realized I...

Hi
That's supposed to say Can't open Start Menu.
I got some forced updates today, not to the new version of TP, and now I can't open the start menu, or type in the search windows on the Task Bar?
I created a system image yesterday but I thought that I'd see if anyone has any experience with...
My Ethernet adapter (I217-V) was working fine before this update. As soon as the update was done, it shows as Unidentified Network. Setting IPv4 to a specific IP address does not seem to help and network still shows as unidentified. Rebooting the Router and/or the computer does not seem to...
Hi all,
My apologies if this is a repeated question; I am at my limit with computing today and have been scrolling through forums to find people with similar issues as I have.
I had installed Windows 10 TP from Windows 8.1, and after realising what a mistake that was, I tried to revert back...
