storage issue

Sorry, if this should be in the hardware forum... I am doing a fresh (bare metal) install. I am experiencing a weird problem with Win7 not remembering drive letter. I am hoping that someone has run across this problem and has the answer. I tried "Diskpart automount enable". It did not work...
