Most of all windows 7 users are aware of native VHD support in Windows 7. The Microsoft Virtual Hard Disk file
format aka VHD is virtual hard disk used in Microsoft Virtual PC. Now you can Create, Mount and Boot from VHD images on Windows 7. You can also...

I had no issues getting Daemon running on 7100, but since updating to 7229 the thing refuses to install it, any ideas or replacement programs thats as good for free? At the minute having to use UltraISO mounter but its pretty lame.
Dowloaded ISO, burnt to DVD. Trying to install on Virtual drive using MS Virtual PC. Gets as far as starting "Expanding Windows Files (0%) and thats it. Tried burning another DVD of same image, exact same problem. Downloaded new ISO image, burnt new DVD at slowest speed, exact same problem...

Microsoft we are in 2009 , why are the main windows installation files distribution method is still DVD's? why not flash memory?
Here is why i think why we need to shift to flash memory:
Flash memory is faster and more reliable than DVD's (Bonus: no noise & less power to use)
4 GB USB drive...

Hi, I've been using windows 7 for some time now, works fine here. Except I can't install Daemon tools, cuz it's not compatible.
So I decided to check if Alcohol 120% would work, but it can't install aswell cuz it requires a reboot and after that the setup will just start all over again...
Alright so prior to a few days ago, I was able to burn CDs with no problems using Nero 8. Suddenly though, Windows refuses to open ANY program that has the ability to burn a CD. I've tried Nero 8, 7, 6, Windows Media Player, CDBurnerXP, Roxio, etc. What's particularly weird about this too is...

Vmware workstation is a great tool --loads of people on these boards are using it.
However it's not particulrly cheap. Vmware do provide a free piece of software VMPLAYER but this can't CREATE Virtual machines .

I have tried several Emulators and none of them appear to be working with 7... Daemon tools tells you that it is incompatible, and alcohol just reboots the system and starts from scratch every time it boots up. Anyone have any ideas for this?
In the disk manager tool, I tried to partition (create/name) a new partition out of free, unallocated space. but the virtual disk service blows up and the partition is "created" but it gains no letter drive and is not usable.
i tried rebooting and trying it again, no luck. same thing happens...
Well, I thought I'd try the old Broken Sword games again, for the pure nostalgic fun of it...
Everything went well at first, Shadow of the Templars (BS1) and The Smoking Mirror (BS2) are working fine in ScummVM. Broken Sword 2.5 installed without a hitch and runs perfectly fine as well. But...

Hi all,
So yesterday I took the plunge, I was sick of my bloated vista on my Sony Vaio (which came with far to much Vaio crap) and I wanted to try out this new OS which seems to be getting a positive response on all the blogs. So i backed up all my important files onto my other partition and...
