as stated in the subject, I wonder how to prevent windows from stealing focus from whatever your working on whenever some other running app, howvever unimportant, calls for attention?
This focus-stealing drives me up a wall, and it's not helpful at all for keeping ones train-of-thought...
When I start a DOS batch file *.bat procedure then a cmdprompt window opens with the default
number of columns and rows.

Is there a way to turn this off? The window in question is not actually frozen but it appears as though it is to windows 7, so the only option I get is to close it while it is still running.
