Hi All,
I am trying to install Windows 8.1 onto a new hard drive that is attached to a computer that already runs Windows 8.1 x32. I downloaded Windows 8.1 installation from Microsoft and made a bootable USB.
When I type in the Product Key, I get the error code "The Product Key entered does...

I have a system with Windows 7 Pro x64 on it (came with it) with a full Windows 7 Installation DVD. It has a 500 GB drive with an 8 GB RAM. I partitioned it with AOMEI to give me an extra 100 GB primary drive.
On this I wanted to install a Windows 8.1 (x64). But it just wouldn't let me...

It may sound a bit odd, but I'm considering dropping Win7x32 Ultimate to go to x64. Either Home Prem or Pro. Reasoning is to be able to utilize more RAM and speed things up. The real question is can x32 Ultimate be upgraded in place to x64 HP or Pro?
After switching on your computer received the error RPLUD is compressed. Press CTRL+ALT+DEL to restart on a black screen with white writing when trying to boot into Windows.
Also tried to system restore by inserting win 7 disk but its also not happening:(.

Heya.
Not sure where else to post this, hopefully you guys will be able to help me figure out what's going on. This is an issue that I've had for a VERY long time in every IE install I try (IE 7/8/9) and both in x64bit and x32bit...

I had recently installed Win 7 Ultimate x64. I found that the cd drive would not read DVD DL. I tried all methods(incl all KB articles) and finally decided to go back to x32 hoping that the change would cure it. No chance. It reads all other types of DVD ok and writes too. I have tried several...

Hi,
Can anyone suggest a simple (idiot proof) explanation of how to change the default Windows Media Player (12) from X32 to X64. Apologies if this has already covered in a previous thread.
Many thanks. :)

The final Windows 7 RTM Build 7600 was promised to ship on 24th July to Microsoft OEM partners. Once again actual final untouched Windows 7 RTM Build 7600.16385 ISO is leaked by Zukonka, who has leaked numerous development builds in the past on popular torrent websites.

When I got Vista x32 there was an offer to send £6 (If I remember it correctly) to get a Vista x64 disc, I might br wrong on this, but its at the back of my mind that the same was with XP.
I got the Vista x64 disc.
Does anyone know if W7 x32 will have that same option, that is, to get the...

Hi everyone
I'm now satisfied on my laptop with the X32 version of W7 -- now Hauppage Win TV is also working.

Hi Guys
Some sites pop up a little dialog (see screenshot) . That was using IE7 on Vista X-64.
After clicking OK or even cancel you then get on to the site.
IE8 (all versions and both on X32 and X64) doesn't show the first dialog and hence never gets to the site.
Firefox seems to have a...

Hi everyone who is using Vmware workstation. You've probably seen the _vmware_user on the logon screen when starting Windows 7. (both X32 and X-64 versions).
Whilst not a showstopper it would be nicer to hide it. Just looks a bit sloppy on a clear logon screen.
Anyway here's how to do it...
