i have laptop of HP (pavilion g6) with windows 7 basic.the problem is that there is no option to open bluetooth i.e. the system tray does not show option for bluetooth.so how can i make that option appear so that i can access and use it.i have tried a lot through bluetooth installed folders but it doesnt appear in the system tray also it does not give any option to enable bluetooth. plzz help....

Do you know for sure your version of the laptop has Bluetooth?

Do you show it as being enabled in the Bios?

Have you installed the Drivers or Driver Suite from Atheros or Intel, depending on your version? They would be listed under Network drivers.

i have bluetooth installed but its not showing in the system tray (right end bottom, near date and time),so how will i enable it.

I understood that from your first post. You enable it by installing all the drivers.

What drivers have you installed for the Bluetooth?

What Bluetooth devices are you showing in Device Manager?

What does your bios show concerning the Bluetooth. Not all models of a specific line of laptops has all the devices listed. My Dell says it does Bluetooth but mine does not have it installed, because it was not ordered that way.
