Hello.
My question is. I get crash in game when i click exit to desktop. Black screen for 1 minute, nothing responding. Then desktop appeared ,screen appeared and after 1 minute pc just reset itself.
I open eventog and there was only about KERNEL-POWER 41,but not bugcheck. So it was bsod or not?
But i have found in windows/livekernelreports/ pow32kwatchdog.sys ,screens:

So is this possible for BSOD without bugcheck in event log then?

Game crashed maybe time hour 20:18:12. Reboot or BSOD occur maybe time 20:22:30.

I opened event logs. There is KERNEL POWER 41 level 0. No bugcheck in event log.

But i have found in windows/livekernelreports/ pow32kwatchdog.sys

Hi,
check your settings for dump file creation:

Open the run application.
Type sysdm.cpl in the run box and click ok.
Look across the top of the system properties box for 'Advanced' and click that.
Look for 'Startup and Recovery' near the bottom and click 'settings'.
Near the bottom you'll see a drop down menu under the heading 'write debugging information'.
In the drop down menu choose ' small memory dump (256KB)'
Under 'small dump directory' make sure it says %SystemRoot%\Minidump.
Click ok and your good to go.

If you have removed your pagefile then dump file creation will stop.

Other possible reasons could be that it's a particular bugcheck or your HDD may have an issue.
Metro Exodus. I clicked Exit to main menu and it blackscreened with driver crash to desktop.
After moment system rebooted ( like power cut )
I open eventog and there was only about KERNEL-POWER 41,but not bugcheck. So it was bsod or not?

Only this:windows/livekernelreports/ pow32kwatchdog.dmp

So that file was related to that reboot?

Date of that file:20:18:00

Reboot eventlog time 20:17:30:

My question is. That file Pow32Kwatchdog.dmp was related to that reset/reboot? But i dont saw on screen BSOD . It was like power cut.

But i posted here screens from pow32kwatchdog.dmp. If that does matter? :)

Metro Exodus was running maybe 21 hours. Game crashed when i click EXIT TO MAIN MENU.

I get BLACK SCREEN and no monitor signal for 1 minute, and crash to desktop with TDR driver crash in event log. After that i log off from system and log back in again and system rebooted unexpected.

Just after crash to desktop pc get rebooted after i log off from system ( and back in ) by CTRL ALT DELETE.
Maybe something messed up during logging off and back on again.
There was not bugcheck in event log. Only Kernel 41 power.
And file appeared C:/Windows/livekernelreports/pow32kwatchdog.dmp
“A callout to Win32k did not return promptly”
win32k-callout-watchdog

1 arrow: 3 driver crashes from a game with black screen,CTD,turning circle instead of arrow
2 arrow:winlogon, i decide to ctrl alt delete , log out and log back again in
3 arrow: kernel 41 power and weird reboot

It was hardware fluke or software?

To be sure i tested RAMTEST,MEMTEST86,REALBENCH and other all games,no issues. Happened once after Metro.

The actual .dmp files would be most useful as they can be analyzed to see what's really happening on the system when it crashed

But i dont have anything in C:/Windows/memory.dmp or not C:/windows/minidump.

Only file:C:/windows/livekernelreports/pow32kwatchdog.dmp<--- this file is from reboot?

WIN32K_CALLOUT_WATCHDOG

Only find this after reboot:
C:/Windows/livekernelreports/pow32kwatchdog.dmp <---was created
WIN32K_CALLOUT_WATCHDOG <---

So it was bsod propably? Also i dont saw a bluescreen on screen,it rebooted so fast.

But nothing here:C:/windows/memory.dmp <--no exist

Nah not C:/windows/minidump folder.

Only C:/windows/livekernelreports/pow32kwatchdog.dmp
