I have a ASUS Striker extreme mobo with an intel 2.4GH quad core processor(6600 i think). I also have a nvidia gforce 8800GTX pci-e card and a 74GB(clean) SATA hard drive installed. I have 2GB of DDR2 800MH(which is compatible with mobo) RAM installed as well. also, 700WATT PSU. I have a cdrom drive and dvd drive set up as master and slave. I have bought every component seperatly and installed them myself. I am trying to install windows vista Ultimate DVD 64 bit version and its giving me "DISK BOOT FAILURE" when i put it in the crom and dvd drives. I have already changed the boot sequence to cdrom, hard drive, removable. Please help. p.s. i cleared the cmos and also went into bios and set default settings to solve another problem.

Hi,in the bios did you enable the SATA ports as usually these are disabled by default. Sorry if it's something you've already checked but if your like me I often miss the most obvious things... Nice rig by the way
