Windows 7 game problem in windows 7

i have laptop sony vaio vgn-cr320e
and i use windows 7 ultimate build 7100
all things ok but when i open any game the screen small than the normal screen

Cant you change the resolution ingame? Might be a dumb suggestion, but I am making it anyway
