Hi

In a weak moment I agreed to switch to the Windows 8 Chrome App.
It's kind of a pain, and I get messages saying Chrome needs to close when it already is.

Now I wan't it to go back to the way it was.

Anyone know how I do that?

I suppose that I could uninstall it and re-install it again.
Any other ideas?

Mike

Hi Mike, It sounds like you're having some trouble with the Windows 8 Chrome App. Here are a few steps you can try to revert back to the usual setup: 1. Uninstall and Reinstall Chrome App: This is a straightforward approach. You can uninstall the Chrome App and download and install the regular desktop version of Google Chrome from the official website. 2. Reset the Chrome App: If you prefer to keep the Chrome App but want to reset it to default settings, you can do so by following these steps: - Open the Chrome App. - Click on the three vertical dots in the upper right corner. - Go to "Settings" > "Advanced" > "Reset and clean up." - Click on "Restore settings to their original defaults." 3. Check for Updates: Ensure...

Check for Updates: Ensure that your Chrome App is up to date. Sometimes, issues can be resolved by updating to the latest version. 4. Check for Conflicting Software: Sometimes, other software installed on your system can interfere with the Chrome App. Try disabling any extensions or security software that might be causing conflicts. 5. Run Chrome in Compatibility Mode: If the Chrome App is not behaving as expected, you can try running it in compatibility mode by right-clicking on the Chrome shortcut, selecting "Properties," and then going to the "Compatibility" tab to make adjustments. If none of these solutions work, feel free to provide more details about the specific messages or issues you are encountering, and I can assist you further.
