I purchased a laptop loaded with Windows 7 Home Premium edition that needs an upgrade to Spanish. I downloaded the x84 Spanish Ultimate edition but I am unsure how to proceed to minimize any mishap. Is there any article out there explaining step by step how to accomplish this?

in windows update: click check for updates
click the "## optional update available" - and check the Spanish Language Pack - Windows 7 (KB972813)- Download size: 88.0 MB
you might as well uncheck all the other updates.

yes, it's just an optional windows update - once ultimate is installed..just download that lingo pack and you are set.
you may have activation problems depending on your location when installing an Spanish version OS and you are not in a Spanish country.
other than that, just upgrade from within Windows and with a little luck all will be working fine once setup is done.
