S spectregunner New Member Aug 3, 2010 #1 When i hook my laptop up to my tv via vga cable my keyboard does not type out letters it uses there shortcuts instead. so key F would bring up google search spacebar puts the windows to the side hiding etc. any help?

zvit Honorable Member Aug 3, 2010 #2 I don't know why it only happens only when you connect to a TV but before I research more, try disabling Keyboard Hotkeys and post back: 1. To Re-enable the Windows Key A) Click on the Download button below to download the Re-enable_Windows_Key.reg file below.Link Removed due to 404 ErrorB) Go to step 3.2. To Disable the Windows KeyA) Click on the Download button below to download the Disable_Windows_Key.reg file below.Link Removed due to 404 Error3. Click on Save, and save the .reg file to the desktop. 4. Right click the .reg file (On Desktop) and click on Merge. 5. Click on Run, Yes, Yes, and OK when prompted. 6. When done, you can delete the downloaded .reg file if you like. 7. Restart the computer to fully apply.
