Hello all,

I have a weird problem as i've run previous beta versions of w7 and those worked perfectly although now with the latest version my mouse starts acting weird. sometimes its works perfectly and i just have to click once to open something, and the next time i have to click like 10 times before it even reacts.

Does anyone have any experience with this problem?

Solution
ok :P i tested my mouse on an other pc with windows xp and it showed the same problems. so i guess my mouse is just broken :P nothing to do with w7 XD
That was precisely my suspicion and thank you for your feed back.
I wanted to spare you all the trouble of reinstalling a normally working system just for the sake of a mouse which would have behaved just the same way once agian in the new system. I wanted you to provide the last piece of evidence to convict this mouse guilty as suspected and that's why I suggested the mouse swap between systems!
did that but it didnt help :(\

Its kinda weird. because i dont really think its the mouse because it works good sometimes and other times it just makes me pissed because if have to click a dozen times for it reacts. i've never had any problems before with the mouse. could it be a win7 bug?

No not a windows 7 bug . It could be if all else has been tried the mouse itself is faulty .

Mice are cheap to buy would not hurt to try another and compare the result :)

PS/2 mouse problem

I have a problem with my PS/2 mouse (Windows 7 - 64 bit) in that a single click (I have set windows to execute on a single click) does not always work and I have to click a second time - usually second click works. I noticed that there are two mouse device drivers (HID Compliant) and PS/2 compatible). Could this be the problem? I am not sure why 2 devices drivers for a single mouse?

Any suggestions? thanks
