Windows 7 PC turns on but monitor won't display

I plugged in my PC but the monitor won't display the screen-it's stuck on standby mode. The PC appears to boot up fine. I don't hear any BIOS beeps but I hear the windows login sound.

I plugged into a different monitor-same issue
Reseated RAM and video card-same issue
Uplugged and pressed power button for about a minute-same issue

Any ideas?

Does your PC also have an IGP besides the dedicated GPU?

I had a similar problem a couple of months ago. It turned out that my graphic card died.
