When you go to play music it plays but stops half way through. If you put a portable speaker system in, or headphones it plays perfectly fine. Could it be something to do with the sound driver?

Solution Pauli Jun 2, 2014 Everything has a lifespan. How old is your laptop? Laptop speakers seem to have a limited lifetime. If you have warranty for your computer, go for it. Hardly a driver issue, although you could try new drivers, doesn't harm.
