Windows 8 Since last update for 1.8.1 my Laptop has slowed down when starting up.

As stated in the title my Inspiron 15 3000 Series has been taking a lot longer when starting up recently. Before the last update it was turning on in like 3 seconds after you put the password in, but now it takes 30 to 40 seconds just to get passed the blue welcome screen. Not to mention, after you get passed the blue welcome screen the screen goes completely black for around 15 seconds before taking me to my desktop. I have not downloaded anything since the update, I have just been playing my Steam games that btw have also slowed down when it comes to loading. I have scanned my computer for malware twice and have picked up nothing. Also, I have looked through the task manager and nothing opens on startup. Please help.

I would suspect a new startup program that snuck in. Check your startups.
