Passwordless Improvements with 1Password​

  • 1Password is now integrated as a passkey provider in Windows 11.
  • Setup process:
  • Install 1Password Beta on Windows 11.
  • Go to Settings > Passkeys > Advanced options and enable plugin credential manager.
  • Complete user verification with Windows Hello.
  • You can use existing or create new passkeys saved to your credential manager.
  • Developers can integrate with Windows 11 to support passkeys.

Other Notable Changes (with toggle ON)​

  • Voice access: Japanese language support is temporarily disabled for bug fixes.
  • Settings: In EEA, when changing the default browser, it’s now pinned to the Taskbar and Start menu unless you opt out.

  • File Explorer: Fixes for Home crashes, thumbnail disappearance for pinned favorites.
  • Start Menu: Fixes for duplicate folder entries, animation bugs.
  • Input: Fixed ctfmon.exe crash impacting typing.

  • Beta Channel Rollout: Now receives the most current build directly.

  • Xbox Controllers: Bluetooth connection may cause bugcheck; workaround is to uninstall XboxGameControllerDriver.inf from Device Manager.
  • Click to Do Preview: Possible delays on first use with AMD/Intel Copilot+ PCs after updates.
  • File Explorer (AI Actions): Narrator scan mode may not work for Summarize AI on bulleted lists.
