Windows 7 Windows 7 32 Bit sound problems

I have just upgraded my HPDV6-1007TX with W7 32bit and my sound does not work, this occured under Vista and the fix was to delete HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Ole\DefaultAccessPermission. So I thought easy fix, but this does not exist in W7, can anyone give me the fix now.

When you go into sound and do a test you get "Failed to Play"

Sound has been restored for many folks by finding and installing audio drivers for their system. You should be able to obtain them from a motherboard manufacturer or a system builder. If you have a new motherboard, they may be on your CD that came with the board.

Install and reboot.
