I recently installed windows 7 onto my computer. My computer's Mobo was built for windows xp but i had added onto it with a new gpu and 2 gigs of ram. I bought windows 7 home premium 32bit and installed it perfectly. But whenever i try to play a game or watch videos i get the following error/s;

IQRL_NOT_LESS_EQUAL

NMI_PARITY_CHECK/PARITY ERROR

I get the latter usually while playing fallout 3 but the top one happens at complete random and at one point on the log-on screen. I only got these errors after installing windows 7. Here are my system specs;

Ubuntu 12.10 (before installing windows 7)
Nvidia Geforce 9600 GS
2 gigs of RAM
Intel Pentium 4 processor
320 gig SATA HD
HP DC 7100 Mobo

thank you

Hello PlanesWalker,

to Windows 7 Forums,

NMI_PARITY_CHECK/PARITY ERROR could be either faulty memory or the nVidia GPU is overheating.
Try removing 1 stick of RAM and reboot, to see if the issue persists, also trying alternate stick and slot.
Check the temps on the video card.

IQRL_NOT_LESS_EQUAL is usually a change in hardware or OS (compatibility issue), or in your case both, which you have done.
Make sure all your Device drivers are current and compatible, also make sure all peripherals, RAM, video card etc: are securely seated.

Hope this helps and keep us posted

Don
