Solution T T Tepid Oct 20, 2009 Before you do that,,, lets try the following..... Start / Run type Services.msc hit enter stop Windows Update service If exists stop Automatic Update (if it doesn't then continue) Navigate to the following location... C:\Windows Delete Software Distribution folder Restart the Windows Update Service (and Automatic Updates if it exists) You might have to reboot,, maybe not,, but then try updating again.
