Windows 8 Windows 7 Home Premium - Installing to a Laptop

There's no problem attempting this, is there? I normally use this installer disk on a desktop machine, which is about to be retired.

The only reason I ask is because Apple has different, specific installers for their Notebooks, due to the different hardware options.

As long as this same installer disk I purchased will work on any current laptop, I shouldn't have a problem?

Thank you.

Microsoft does not release separate versions of software for different hardware configurations. The only problem you may potentially run into is if for some reason the drivers built into Windows does not have the driver for the laptop's storage chipset, however this is HIGHLY unlikely.
