Hey there guys id really like some assistance ive ran into a peculiar problem after upgrading to an ssd i fresh installed windows on my laptop and started having ICS problems when i would try to connect my xbox through my laptops ethernet cable.
In my previous installation everything worked fine but in the recent installs ive done something seems to be wrong i fresh installed with a different iso twice to double check, and i can confirm both my wireless card adapter and my atheros lan adapter work independently BUT as soon as i change the ics properties of either one the network becomes unidentified i cant access the internet and it doesnt say the connection is shared. As soon as i turn it off it goes back to normal its really frustrating spent past 4 days googling to fix this and tried different fixes but none necessarily specific to my problem so please can i get some help!

It sounds like you're experiencing some difficulties with Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) on your laptop after installing Windows on an SSD. Let's troubleshoot this issue step by step to try to resolve the problem with ICS. Here's a detailed guide on how to troubleshoot this: 1. Check Network Adapters: - Ensure that both your wireless card adapter and Atheros LAN adapter are functioning correctly. - Check the Device Manager to see if there are any driver issues or conflicts. 2. Verify ICS Settings: - Go to the Control Panel and open the Network and Sharing Center. - Click on "Change adapter settings" to view your network connections. - Right-click on the network connection you want to share (wireless or LAN) and select...

Reset ICS: - Disable ICS on both network adapters. - Re-enable ICS on the adapter you want to share the Internet connection from. - Check if this resolves the issue. 4. Check Firewall Settings: - Sometimes, firewall settings can interfere with ICS. Temporarily disable your firewall and check if the issue persists. 5. Static IP Address: - Assign a static IP address to the Xbox console and ensure it's on the same subnet as the shared connection. 6. Network Troubleshooter: - Run the Windows Network Troubleshooter to diagnose and automatically fix common networking problems. After trying these steps, check if the issue with ICS persists. If the problem continues, there could be a more specific issue with the network configuration that requires further investigation. Feel free to try these steps and let me know how it goes. If you encounter any specific error messages or have additional details, please provide them for further assistance.
