It's only available for download by logging on to an MSDN account.

This is the download for those that have the TechNet or MSDN subscriptions. The general public download is scheduled to start Oct. 17th.

I have a question? Got the Store this morning. What does one do for a backup copy? Since I see the one is Windows Store go away after the download is installed on your end.

Windows logo +C > that brings up the Charm bar > select Start > type Control Panel > click it > View by , select Small > Recovery > Create a Recovery Drive.

Back to Control panel > File History > bottom left, System image Backup.

    and upgraded it,
now it is showing just a blank screen and mouse pointer only,

i am using it on a notebook pc,
and have paid pre-installed windows 8.
i cannot even restore to earlier state.
