Hello, I recently tried to update from windows 7 home premium 64 bit to windows 8.1. However when I came to the installation process it reached 100% then said 'Your PC will restart in a few moments'. Then a new window opened saying 'Windows 8.1 installation has failed' Please help I have tried everything I can think of. Thanks in advance - Corey

You may want to try Clean Booting the system as described here http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135/
Before attempting the install.
And make sure that the clean boot includes disabling any Security Suite software especially any third party products.
