Hey guys. There is an interesting problem in Windows 8.

When I changed my wallpaper with a full hd resolution wallpaper like this

This original one a part of wallpaper. ( Just sample for quality )

when I select my wallpaper in customization, reducing resolution. You can see it down.

What is the reason for this? All drivers ok.

But I can't understand.

Is that normal thing for Win8?

I have the same issue:

I have tried my best to manually edit files in the AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Themes directory but none of the solutions I have found online work.
Replacing the transcodedwallpaper file does nothing, Windows will just compress it again.
Replacing the cachedimage does nothing, in fact if you fuck with it enough you are rewared with this: http://i.imgur.com/CrPUXhz.jpg

Going through IE or Firefox does not work, going through the control panel does not work.

I'm not sure I exactly know what you mean as the two images are hardly different apart from one image showing slightly more area?

Anyhow if that is the case then I myself find this happening when I don't have the setting correctly adjusted in the screenshot shown here:
