I recently installed Windows Seven Home Premium on my Alienware M17x. I am having problems playing games on my laptop ever since I installed the new Operating System. I went to Microsoft.com and tried to look for solutions, I even tried to post a question similar to this there, no one answered though. The problem I am having is that every time I tried to play my games, like World in Conflict, my computer crashes. I do not see the BSOD Screen, the “Blue Screen of Death.†it only shows me the frozen game and the sound that keeps repeating. I have to hold down the power button in order to reboot the computer. All my drivers are up to date and I recently just reinstalled DirectX, but I am still having this problem. I search through the Windows Seven Forums and I found that over-heating could be the cause, but the problem about that is my Alienware M17x has three fans, one for the CPU and two for the GPUs. So, please help me how to fix this problem!
