Windows 7 Pinning folders to explorer icon get reset

Are you referring to the jump list menus where recent activity is listed? If so, when you pin them are they going to the top under a "Pinned" heading?

Do you ever clear such items from the Explorer icon or another area?

Just in case it might be relevant, do you open those items using another method rather than the pinned version?

Do you run any registry cleaners ? I have seen his behavior when you run registry cleaners.

Yes the jump lists, forgot what they were called. I don't clear anything, and I do sometimes open them other ways. No registry cleaners.
