CES 2011: Whats New in PC Components - PCWorld
Link Removed
The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) isn't just all tablet, cameras, and laptops; there's plenty of news for the PC component geek, too, ranging from tiny flash drives that pack a lot of heat to the hand-held gaming console...
I have little knowledge when it comes to changing hardware, just putting that out there.
Back when 7 was released as an RC, I had it installed on my secondary office computer on it's original 40 GB sata drive. When I got the full version when it was released, I decided to add another drive...
I’m adding a 10x Internal Blu-ray Disc Double-Layer DVD±RW/CD-RW Drive to my computer. Is there a preferred socket I should connect the SATA cable to on the mother board or can I use any empty socket?
I'm running Windows 7 (64-bit)
Thanks
Jessie

Good day,
I have the been going through some of the forums on this website, and thought I should just completely post everything that I need to, just to make it easier for whomever reads this forum.
I have taken my pc to a computer store, and they never figured out why I had a BSOD. This...
What happened is kinda of long so I have simplified it but if you want to read the long roundabout version of what happened be my guest.
Short: My computer has random shutdowns. The power cuts out completely, no BSOD, no dump file. In event viewer it says "Kernel-Power Event Id: 41". I have...

When I first put together the computer in question I used the on-board sound with no problems for many months. It is my work computer and is used for video and sound editing. I needed to get a better sound solution as the on-board sound was inadequate. I first bought a Asus...

Hello all, and thanks for your time....99% of my bluescreens occur while watching Youtube or any other video. I've tried disabling hardware acceleration in flash, but that doesn't seem to work. The other 1% seems to happen randomly while I'm away from the computer(All together, I get about 3-4 a...

Hi there,
I experience repeating KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED_M caused by ntkrnlpa.exe. It happened about every 2nd to 4th time we used the computer.
The last BSOD happened at logoff processing, for earlier I don't know anymore when.
The unhandled exception was always the same...
Hey everyone
Seeing as how I'm in the BSOD forum, you won't be surprised to hear me say it, but BSODs and me, we go way back.
Ever since the first day I purchased my laptop, I've been having them (no refund and 2 exchanges for the same model at the store, they wouldn't agree to anything else)...

This has been an issue for a few days now. It seems to only happen when my PC comes out of hibernation. It does not do it when I'm actually using the PC, only at random during PC hibernation. I will post my most recent Minidump file.

For some reason on Windows 7 the hard disk all ways Scores 5.9. Why is this? It's like it on my gaming computer and medium to high end systems that we sell at work. which in by acident have 1TB hard disk or higher. Can anyone else get a higher score for their hard disk?
I'm trying to install 64-bit Windows 7 ultimate with a DVD+RW disk. Yesterday I burned a disk on imgburn with automatic speed, then when I was gonna install it on my other HDD (clean install) it said that files were either corrupt or missing.
Then I was gonna do the same thing today, I burned...

Hello
I just installed a second hard drive but now when I boot my computer windows wont load unless i enter setup and tell it to boot from my main hard drive. BIOS won't detect this new hard drive and windows cannot detect it either.
I have trawled the web and Microsoft's site, but cannot get a definitive answer regards memory for Win 7 32 bit. For XP there was a BIOS switch to make more than the standard available, maxing out at ~3.2Gb. Does that same switch exist under Win 7, or is this now automatically taken care of...
