Hi there,
I have installed Win10 on my laptop & also python, brave browser & putty.
The windows folder is 45GB so, I think I might have a previous build or old version saved somewhere - I don't know.
Is there a way of checking?
Many thanks
John
Can I Degrade Windows10 to Windows7.. I am looking for stuff to delete, so I can have more space. This Windows10 folder is 3.26GB. I don't think it does anything other than taking space. Suggest Asap...
My hard drive is getting full. Is there a way to see all at once which folders are the largest? I know I can open the properties for each one, but I remember years ago before Windows there was a utility called "Keep Track" that showed all the folders and their sizes all at once. That would be...
My Windows folder in C drive is occupying 50gb of disk space. But the total space used by individual files in that folder adds up to 20gb. Please help me to remove that 30gb
So, I've been having issues with my main harddrive (A 250gb Samsung 750 Evo SSD) constantly becoming full, mainly as a result of downloads and whatnot after having not much space left. So i decided to do a thorough search for the main problem, and strangely enough, it seems to be the Onedrive...

An investigation of my 64bit Win 7 systems shows that the folder
C:\Windows\assembyl\NativeImages_v2.0.50727_64\Temp\
has almost 12 GB content. I have never seen such a big space occupation before (for a Windows "Temp")
directory. I must have bloated in the last weeks.

I was having space problems on my SSD so I checked what is taking up so much space with SpaceMonger and it turns out my Windows folder is 40GB big. How normal is this and how could I get it smaller?
I have only had this new SSD with windows for a year. :/

I am attempting to do what I thought should be a simple Windows & function: to display the size of a folder just as it does individual file size. Surely this is possible in Windows 7???
I have searched for an answer to no avail.:(
The folder size should be able to be displayed before it is...
i do a backup of my stuff manually each month via an ext. HD.
right now, i was backing up my AppData folder (so much is in there!).
being anal, i compared the size of my laptop's internal HD compared to the ext drive when it was done.
results:
internal: 5+ BG
ext. 2+ GB

does anyone here know how to set a default folder size, so that every window opened will display my folders the same size? i like the bigger folders and would like to set it for the entire system, instead of having to continually reset it every time i open a new folder. thanks!
I got a new computer. SSD and HDD. I only installed windows and a few programs on the ssd. The windows folder is 18gb. How do I get rid of like half of it ?
Thanks in advance
When I marked a whole folder or a couple of files in Windows Explorer in Windows XP then the sum/total size of all marked files is (was) shown in the status bar in the bottom of the WinExp window.
After migrating to Win7 this value is not shown any more.
Do I have to enable this feature...
Ulimately, I just want folder size to be displayed when viewing in details mode but it seems that isn't an option with windows 7 so the next best thing is when you hover the mouse curser over the file and the metadata pops up (I think it's called tooltips) with the file size in it - but this is...
I recently found my hard drive to have grown hugely in terms of memory usage.
On closer inspection, it seems my app data file - usually hidden under 'documents - is more than 10 Gb in size.
I have no ideal what the app data folder does and whether it is important?
Is there any way I can...

Hi,
Upgraded from XP Pro to Win 7 Pro and mostly good.
Badly miss the little utility that added features to the top bar in Windows Explorer, 'Folder Size' for photos etc.
Anyone know of a replacement?
I want to be able to see the size of a folder or file when I hover the mouse over it, but it doesn't seem to work. I have the option 'display folder size information in folder tips' selected... Is there something I'm missing? Ideally I'd like to display folder size in the column like you can...
Sooo I've never seen this problem and I don't really know where to start with it.
I have two hard drives, Windows on the C and media on S, I decided to clear some space on S, as it was 4/5 full, and deleted a folder that was about 80 gigabytes.
The weird thing is it went to the recycle bin...
