Hey. So like a year ago I got some water on my Dell g3 and the battery got fucked up (also the keyboard). I can't spend on a battery right now because I have to import it from another country and it's kinda expensive. So I unplugged the battery and I'm using the laptop plugged in all the time...
Minimum processor state in advanced power settings does not make any difference in Windows 10/11 no matter what I set it to or what plan is active. Changing the Maximum processor state works just fine. I'm currently running Windows 11, but I had the same issue when using 10, so I imagine the...

So I am trying to edit the power plan so that it won't do that anymore with the below request but it is not working.

Windows 10 21H1 19043.1151- Recently I happened to go to Control Panel, Power Options, and noticed I have no power plans listed. Its been some time since I have looked at this setting but I used to have a number of default power plans listed here. I did a google search and a number of fixes came...

Until recently I had in my notebook a battery.
I removed it due to defects and don't want to buy a new one.
Unfortunately the boot process slows down dramatically.
It now takes approx. 5-10 minutes until Windows 7 shows the Login screen.
I guess its because the hardware related detection parts...

Hi,
I was maxing out my CPU with prime95 for 30min and the temps was good around 60c
Then I did close prime95 and I did open it again to run it and it did only manage to push the CPU to 80% according to task manager and as my fans did not start to run at full speed I guess it was correct that it...

I have a Surface 3 Pro Tablet running Windows 10, Version 1607. There is only one power plan, Balanced, that I can select. Is there a way to get additional plans? Such as Power Saver, Performance, etc?
Second question. The plan settings are very limited no CPU settings, no wifi settings, etc...

I just upgraded to Win 10 on my Surface Pro 3. I had two problems one of which has been solved. The one that is solved was that my Samsung SDXC card was not recognized. It didn't appear in Device Manager or in Computer Management > Disk Management. I "fixed" the problem by re-installing Windows...

For some reason my computer has just started turning the brightness on my laptop to 100% when the battery is connected. This is a seriously pain in my eyes and i usually keep my brightness around 20 unless watched videos.
So at first i would just alter the display settings of the 'Balanced...
I'm having a problem with my screen brightness setting. I'm currently using a (very old) dell latitude e6400 with Windows 7 while my normal laptop is being repaired. The battery is shot, so it only runs for about 30 seconds without being plugged in. A few days ago, the screen went extremely dim...

As long as the power cable is plugged in in my notebook the brightness of my display is fine.
But when I plug it out and use the battery the brightness becomes suddenly darker.
Why?
How can I prevent this switch-to-dark-screen?
I found no corresponding option in the power plans
