I upgraded from Vista Premium recently and cannot get IE8 to open at all. I've done all the updates and still no luck.

Is it my imagination, or are many people describing better/worse clean installs? Shouldn't the installs be consistant? Provided they are using the same DVD to do them, and didn't re-download it?
