I want to stop sharing my user's folder on the network, but when I go to "share with" > "nobody" it gives me the error "windows can't stop sharing selected folder". When I try to change ANY sharing options it gives me the error "This folder cannot be shared".

I am moving data from an old XP computer to a new Vista OS computer. When I try to find the folder for appdata on the Vista computer, supposedly in my user folder, I cannot find it. Is it somehow hidden, and if so, how do I view this folder?

I’ve noticed that with Windows Vista, some programs are installed into a hidden local user folder rather then in C:\Program Files. Does anyone know how to force a program to install into the default c:\Program Files?
