Hello recently I bought a new computer,no warranty sadly. It's a Dell Inspiron 580 i5 650 Nvidia 220 750GB(I replaced the original 1 TB Hard drive with 750 to sell my other computer better),and 8GB of ram.I have been having these errors mostly when playing games like From Dust and Mafia 2.I have the dmp file and everything, please help and hopefully it is the drivers which I read was because of the dmp error I had.I really don't want it to be the CPU.Hopefully you guys will be able to help me fix this! Thanks!

When flashing your BIOS be sure to have a backup, restore point, and an OS dvd.

A 124 BC is hardware btw, so I wonder the efficacy of the BIOS flashing.

Your .dmp file shows a stop error of 0x124 which is a general hardware error .

A "stop 0x124" is fundamentally different to many other types of bluescreens because it stems from a hardware complaint.

Stop 0x124 minidumps contain very little practical information, and it is therefore necessary to approach the problem as a case of hardware in an unknown state of distress.

Yes the exe you run to flash the bios. I should have made that clearer in my previous post. I'll download the file myself to see what switches it has.

I'm sorry to be a fool, but it extracts to fast, then auto run, where is the folder that it was extracted to located?

Is ok. copy I580-A07.EXE to the root of c: and then in a admin command prompt type c:\I580-A07.EXE /forcetype If that doesn't work I'm working o upacking that file so you can get to the flash properly

Please because I'm a major noob and the cmd thing is not working D: .It just runs when I do ":\I580-A07.EXE /forcetype" And that's it,just runs and cant do anything because it says same version

if you run the flasher and leave it open then goto taskmanager can you find amiwinflash.exe in processes. If so I'll find what switches need to be used to force flash it.

I'm pretty sure I fixed it by moving it away from an enclosed tight hold that would block the holes in the case from ventilating the hot air,so the problem was overheating, thanks guys!
